A few pieces of information for you at this point:
1) The start will be a 'beach start' meaning the start line is NOT in the water
but on the beach.  Men & women will start separately.
2) The swim will be a counter clockwise loop with the main portion of the swim
being parallel to the beach and the beach being on your left.  Advantage- lefty breathers! :)
This is a race set specifically for beginners so you are more than welcome to hang on to the side of a support boat, buoy or raft. You are only disqualified if you require assistance from another person to complete the swim portion of the race.  If disqualified due to swim assistance, you may still complete the entire course.  The disqualification only means that you would not be eligible for any awards.
The swim is not an out and back, but a loop that goes from a beach starting point to a beach ending point and will only be about 40 yards from shore at it’s furthest point.
3) The bike course is a clockwise loop through local county roads and then
around the west side of Silver Lake back to The Silvercryst & transition area.

COURSE ROUTE:
Exit Silvercryst road going East.  Take Hwy 21 East to 20th dr, turn South.
Go .4 miles, turnaround and go North back to Hwy 21, turn right, heading East.

Take 22nd avenue to Cree avenue, turn West.

Take Hwy 73 to Hwy 21, turn Northeast, (right).
Take Hwy 21 back to Silvercryst road & transition area.
There will be no aid stations on the bike course.

4) The run course is an out and back.

COURSE ROUTE:
Racers will head out east on 21, turn right on Silver Lake Road to the 1 mile
mark, turnaround and return to the finish.
